More than just a diagnosis.

Invisible Lives is an awareness campaign from ORB Gateway, created to shine a light on the experiences of adults with learning disabilities.

Too often, people with learning disabilities are present in our communities but are overlooked, underestimated or excluded from everyday opportunities.

Through a series of life-sized displays placed in public spaces across Bromley, Invisible Lives introduces real local people, their personalities, interests, ambitions and experiences — helping the wider community see the person, not the disability.

Why are we doing it?
We want to:
1. Increase understanding of learning disabilities.
2. Challenge assumptions and stereotypes.
3. Celebrate the contribution adults with learning disabilities make to our community.
4. Encourage businesses, organisations and individuals to think about inclusion and accessibility.
5. Make sure people with learning disabilities are seen, heard and valued.

Look out for Invisible Lives. You may see our Invisible Lives displays appearing in venues across the borough. Each one tells the story of a real person connected with ORB Gateway.

Take a moment. Read their story. See the person.

Want to support the campaign?
If you are a local business, community organisation or venue and would be interested in hosting an Invisible Lives display, we would love to hear from you.
